Checkmate

We wrote to boing boing about what they may have got wrong

As I sit here waiting for the engineers of the Grafitti panel at HOPE I decided to look around and saw the post about Steven Rambam. Seems whisper down the lane has changed the story since Emmanuel told it before the mentioned panel today. According to Emmanuel, Steve was arrested as soon as the Palltech seminar was over, not immediately before. Emmanuel spoke to us before the panel entitled "Privacy is dead: Get over it." The Palltech seminar was in the same hotel but on a different floor and as far as I know the FBI has left us hackers alone, only going after the aforementioned private investigator. "Privacy is dead: Get over it" went on as scheduled without Rambam and was great.

The Arrival

This is Cheebs, if you can't tell by the proper capitalization and punctuation. I have taken over the blog for today.

Ylbissop and I proceeded to wake up a little later than our normal Thursday mornings. And by later, I mean an hour and a half. Small benefit to that. Packing commenced as I realized that despite having power back, our water was still at its full capacity so I still had the trickle but the good part was everything was charged. With our handful of gear (handful=two suitcases, one computer case, one bookbag of food and drinks, and one large purse of personals)

resignation

1 day 13 hours 17 minutes and 58 seconds till hope starts and our power here just came back on after being off for the past day. which means there is little time to post... for much preparation is in order there's packing cleaning tweaking and charging to do. so until tomorrow I leave you with yesterdays edition of off the wall.

we are pre-registered reserved and donated

cheebs got her new laptop(jarod) and i set up ecto on it so we can blog easier from the conference. the panels were posted and once again they have succeeded in placing several of the ones i'm most interested in in the same time slot.

Todays bus

I decided to post this to help anyone traveling from philadelphia to NY for H.O.P.E. via Todays bus a chinatown bus service. due to there extremely low prices and the rumors I had heard I was curious and wondered what I was in for the first time I rode with them. but after traveling with them I highly recommend them. Tickets You have two options for riding with todays bus you can buy your tickets in advance online (note that the departure times are set in stone once you order tickets online if you miss a bus or decide to change times your gonna have to buy another ticket) you can order at todaysbus.com or gotobus.com otherwise you can go directly to Todays bus the day of your departure as a "standby passenger".
